A kind of war has been going on for a while now between car owners in Nigeria and the Federal Road Safety Commission ((FRSC), due to the latter’s introduction of new number plates and guidelines in obtaining the driver’s license.
Nigerians have been complaining that the Commission showed insensitivity by jacking up the fee for a new number plate, and coming out with a stringent guideline to obtain or renew the driver’s license while giving a short deadline after which vehicles might be confiscated.
To be truthful, the process of obtaining driver’s license in Nigerian was fundamentally flawed.
